—Cognitive-Behavioral (CBT): Change your thoughts, change your life! This approach helps you to notice the connection between your thoughts, actions, and feelings. Replace your negative thoughts with realistic ones.
—Dialectical-Behavior (DBT): Teaches you practical skills to handle intense emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve your relationships. The focus is on finding a balance between accepting yourself as you are, and working hard to change.
—Person-Centered (PCT): A supportive, nonjudgmental space where you explore your own feelings.
—Solution-Focused (SFBT): Focuses on solutions in the present and future instead of past problems. The goal is to identify what works and do more of it.
—Psychodynamic (PDT): Understanding the “Why” behind your current struggles. We look at your past experiences, hidden feelings, and relationship patterns to see how they shape what you’re going through today.
—Motivational Interviewing (MI): Exploring your feelings of ambivalence and feeling stuck. Exploring the things that are keeping you from making necessary changes to become the person you want to be.
